Axes

The two axes AC-DC & IC-MC divide the chart into its 4 quadrants
The Ascendant (AC) represents our core of being, driving force, approach and motivation. The power of the Ascendant pushes within us for realization and determines our will for self-assertion. The Ascendant shapes our appearance and aura. The Ascendant is our disposition, the development and spiritualization of which ennobles our character. This maturing process automatically leads us towards our destiny (MC).
The Imum Coeli represents our roots and family of origin. The imum coeli is the result of our history of existence and related karma of reincarnation in family, the nation and our place of residence. The Imum Coeli determines our family life, our childhood, our relationship with our parents and the place within the family system. The IC represents our soul life and basic needs, which has been shaped by our past.
The Descendant (DC) is the force that we encounter in life through others. At the descendant we look for what complements us and we develop through the encounter with others, so that we become more relational people. At the descendant we must coordinate our will with other people, we do not want open conflict, but harmony. The Descendant also describes what we are used for by others.
The Medium Coeli (MC) is our destiny and vocation. To realize the Medium Coeli is the goal of our life. The medium Coeli stands for the meaning that our incarnation will get for other people. The Medium Coeli is our mission, which we were born to fulfill. At the MC, the results of our work appear in public. The Medium Coeli is the goal that Divine Providence has foreseen for us.
